Engagement Soiree

Recently I had the pleasure of helping one of my best friends throw an engagement party for our best friend and her fiance. My husband and I surprised the future bride and groom in our old stomping grounds in Fort Lauderdale. It was so fun to be “back home” where it all began for a whirlwind weekend of fun. Plus we got to spend some QT with our hosts who are getting ready to move into an amazing new townhome and bid their old place adieu. Take a look at the coconut goodies that welcomed us (we share a mutual affection for all things coconut).

Travel aside, I want to share the amazing details of this engagement party for your own inspiration. Let me start by saying that one of my emails to the MOH, was “YOU ARE THE MOST AMAZING PARTY PLANNER, EVER.”  Yes, my inner sorority girl is coming out, but she truly is. It was so much fun to work with her and help her execute the details. Everything came together even though we had the usual last minute scrambles. (Why is there never enough time to get ready for a party, even if you prepare as much as possible in advance and start decorating and cooking early in the morning?) And most importantly, the happy couple was surrounded by their family and friends and truly had the party they deserved. They are one of the most fun-loving, caring and sincere people/couples and it was an honor to help the MOH throw their party 🙂

On to the details…
